Welcome to Team Discovery!
Discovery Team is a small 7th & 8th grade self contained class. We focus on improving academic confidence and motivation through building positive relationships, setting individual goals and working on social skills. Discovery students participate in many experiential learning opportunities during the school year.
Homeroom
Each morning we start the day by going over the schedule and any changes or updates. Students have the opportunity to check-in about after school activities. Students state individual goals for the day. We have a posted Quote of the Day and a Brain Boggler to get the wheels turning.

Wrap-up/End of the Day
Every afternoon students are asked to reflect on 3 new facts learned during the day. Students write down their thoughts in the SNL (Something New Learned) notebooks. Students also need to copy down the HMWK Reminder into their Assignment Notebooks and have a signature prior to leaving for the day.
